Sean Richards

Sean grew up in Fair Haven, Vermont at the bottom of Lake Champlain. He has spent his entire educational experience in Vermont from preschool through culinary school at the New England Culinary Institute. Sean spent the last twelve years away from Vermont traveling, eating, and cooking. He settled for a bit in the hills of Tennessee working at the prestigious Blackberry Farm. While at Blackberry Farm, he refined his cooking skills, food knowledge and learned the true meaning of hospitality. After cooking at Blackberry Farm, he was given the chance to travel and cook for popular bands and musicians all over the U.S. and Canada. He spent his days off eating at the best restaurants he could find, absorbing all he could from fine dining to local dives. After years of living out of a suitcase he settled back in Tennessee to open Knox Mason, a small farm to table restaurant. He learned how to work with farmers and local producers. After years away, like so many others, Vermont called him back. Sean spent time opening the kitchens at Philo Ridge Farm in Charlotte, Vermont.  Sean’s passion for the simple seasonal cooking and a love of everything local helps to guide the kitchens at The Inn at Round Barn. Sean's quick wit and wry delivery keeps us laughing, making his kitchen the popular spot on the farm. Ask him about his dog Otis and watch his face light up.

Astrid O'Connor

Astrid is our favorite farmer who bakes. She came to us on a snowy March day and has been warming our hearts ever since. Astrid puts love into every crumb she bakes and is fast becoming our go-to designer for grazing boards which are both gorgeous and delicious. Much of our produce  including tender lettuce, hardy root vegetables, and fragrant herbs come from her farmstead just over the Roxbury Gap in Northfield, where she patiently tends and harvests her garden to perfection. She's camera shy, but her carrots aren't!

Andy O'Brien

Andy is our "Guy Friday"- a pinch of innkeeping here, a dash of housekeeping there, and a sprinkle of maintenance around the Inn keeps him busy! Andy is also a gifted and talented artist - his medium is beautiful stained glass. Ask Andy about his time in England - this world traveler is a gifted conversationalist certain to make your stay a pleasant one.

Tim keeps us ticking! We're grateful for his ability to get to the root of any problem and engineer a fix. He's a true utility player who doesn't hesitate to swtich gears at a moments notice to satisfy any request. We're so lucky he chose us!

Stella

Stella is our sometimes salty farm beagle who really wants to be a good girl. It was love at first sight when Kim saw a rescue posting for Stella while she was fostering with a very patient family who kept her safe until she could find her forever home. Somewhere during the 10 hour drive from Canton, OH, a stay in a pet-friendly Ramada Inn, a trip through the Krispy Kreme drive-through, and a stop at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Stella decided we would do just fine. She loves her RBF family including Brenda, who has trained her better than we ever could, Robert, who just loves to take Stella for walks, and Carol, who thinks Stella's indifference to  most humans is adorable. Jim even had these portaits of Stella taken by the talented Barrie Fisher with her Pets+People Project. Full-disclosure: Barrie is first and foremost one of our very favorite wedding photographers, but Stella never knew she could look as good as Barrie did.
